Key Ingredients

• Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1:
A fortifying peptide that supports healthier, fuller-looking hair, aiding in the revitalization of hair follicles for visible density and thickness.

How to Use

Apply 1-2 pumps of serum to clean, dry skin in the targeted area, gently massaging until absorbed. Use once daily, either morning or evening, for optimal results. Avoid the eye area and remember, consistency is key; results may vary with regular use.

Important Safety Information

Minoxidil is used to treat common hereditary hair loss in men aged 18-65, also known as male pattern baldness (androgenic alopecia). Minoxidil helps reactivate and revitalize shrunken hair follicles, increasing their size. It is believed to work by dilating blood vessels around the hair follicles, improving the nutrient supply. With consistent use, hair follicles may gain greater volume, which can help prevent further hair loss and promote the regrowth of longer, thicker hair.

Delune's Minoxidil solution features an extra-strength formula that does not contain alcohol or propylene glycol, additives found in other over-the-counter Minoxidil products that are known to cause itchy scalps, irritation, and dandruff.

1. Trade Names

Minoxidil is sold under various trade names around the world, including Regaine® and Rogaine®.

2. How Do I Use This Medicine?

Apply 1 ml of the solution directly to the scalp twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, using the provided dropper. Ensure your scalp is dry before applying the solution. There is no need to wash your hair beforehand.

Allow a few minutes for the solution to dry before wearing a hat or lying on a pillow.

This medicine is for external use only and should be applied directly to the scalp. Do not use more than 2 ml of the solution in a 24-hour period. Each bottle should last approximately one month when used as directed.

Additional information is included with the product.

3. What if I Miss an Application?

No worries! If you miss an application, simply continue with your normal routine. Using more frequently will not improve results.

4. How Soon Can I Expect to See Results?

Hair regrowth with Minoxidil takes time, as normal hair grows approximately 1.25 cm per month. You may need to use Minoxidil for 2-4 months before seeing noticeable results.

Initially, new hairs may appear fine and soft (similar to baby hairs), but they should eventually grow to match the color and thickness of the rest of your hair. When first using the medicine, you may experience temporary increased hair shedding for the first 2-4 weeks as old hairs make way for stronger regrowth.

Once your hair begins to regrow, it’s important to continue using Minoxidil twice daily to maintain results. If treatment is discontinued, new hair growth may gradually disappear within 3 to 4 months.

If no improvement in hair growth is seen after 6 months, consult your doctor to discuss whether to continue treatment.

5. Is This Medicine Suitable for Me?

This medicine is suitable for most men aged 18-65. Women should not use extra-strength Minoxidil products. Do not use this product if you are allergic to Minoxidil.

6. What if the Medicine Gets in My Eyes, Mouth, or Nose?

If the medicine comes into contact with your eyes, mouth, nose, or any broken or sunburnt skin, rinse the area thoroughly with cool tap water.

7. Are There Any Possible Side Effects?

Minoxidil is generally safe, but like all medicines, it can cause side effects. The most common side effects are itching and irritation of the treated scalp area. If irritation persists, stop using the product and consult your doctor.

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience:

  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which may cause difficulty swallowing or breathing.
  • Chest pain.

Stop using the medicine and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you experience:

  • Dizziness or fainting due to low blood pressure.
  • Palpitations or a fast heartbeat.
  • Swelling in the hands, feet, or legs, or shortness of breath.
  • Sudden, unexplained weight gain.
  • Skin rash or redness at the application site.

Other potential side effects include:

  • Excessive hair growth on the face or body.
  • Headache.
  • Temporary hair shedding during the first 2-4 weeks of use, which should stop as your natural hair growth cycle adjusts.

This is not a complete list of side effects. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have concerns.

8. How Should I Store This Medicine?

Keep the product out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the bottle. Store upright, below 25°C, and protect from light. Once empty, dispose of the bottle and applicators safely.

9. Other Important Information About Minoxidil

Like all medicines, Minoxidil may not work for everyone. If you see no improvement in hair growth after 6 months, consider consulting your doctor to discuss further treatment options.

Minoxidil is suspected to be toxic to pets, especially cats and dogs. Avoid allowing pets to ingest the medication or come into contact with the treated areas. If accidental contact occurs, consult a veterinarian immediately.

  • Drop it on

Once a day drop 1 ml (dosage marked on the dropper) of the solution directly onto the scalp where you have hair loss.

  • Rub it in

Gently massage it in with your fingers.

  • Wait a bit

Let it fully soak into the scalp before the next step of your routine, whether that’s going to sleep or blow drying and styling your hair.

  • Prevent hair loss

The active ingredients work by blocking an enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT, a hormone that can weaken hair follicles. It has been shown to help regrow hair in 3-6 months.

  • Promote regrowth

Minoxidil increases blood flow to hair follicles to kickstart regrowth. It extends the active growth phase while shortening the resting phase of the hair growth cycle.

  • Better together

Recent studies show better results when combining two hair loss active ingredients to prevent hair loss and promote regrowth.
